Read Across America unveils new look

Our student populations are ever-changing and evolving and every year there are new children’s books that reflect that diversity. That’s why NEA’s Read Across America is rebranding with a new logo to appeal to students of all ages and backgrounds and a continued mission of “Celebrating a Nation of Diverse Readers.”

Governor Evers visits classrooms, helps celebrate Read Across America

The day after delivering his pro-public education State Budget Address at the Capitol in Madison, Governor Evers hit the road and visited schools throughout the state, in part reading to students to help celebrate NEA’s Read Across America.

Celebrating Read Across America!

WEAC President Ron Martin joined staff and students at Viking Elementary School in Holmen on Thursday to celebrate Read Across America, the nation’s largest reading event. The National Education Association’s Read Across America, which is celebrated in schools throughout the nation on March 2, the birthday of Dr. Seuss, is designed to motivate students to read. The event helps students to master basic reading and comprehension skills and develop a life-long love of reading by making it F-U-N.

NEA’s Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss.
